Higher-order exceptional point in a pseudo-Hermitian cavity optomechanical system

چکیده

Higher-order exceptional points (EPs), resulting from non-Hermitian degeneracies, have shown greater advantages in sensitive enhancement than second-order EPs (EP2s). Therefore, seeking higher-order various quantum systems is important for information science. Here we propose a benchmark cavity optomechanical (COM) system consisting of mechanical resonator coupled to two cavities via radiation pressure predicting the third-order point (EP3). We first give pseudo-Hermitian condition COM by taking bath effects into account. Then consider gain effect, and find that without $\mathcal{PT}$ symmetry can host both EP3 EP2 symmetric asymmetric cavities. In case, only or be predicted parameter space, but transformed each other tuning coupling strength case. further case one with gain. For this also EP2. The influence parameters on them discussed. Our proposal provides potential way realize detection study physical phenomena around systems.

A non-Hermitian PT −symmetric Bose-Hubbard model: eigenvalue rings from unfolding higher-order exceptional points

We study a non-Hermitian PT −symmetric generalization of an Nparticle, two-mode Bose-Hubbard system, modeling for example a Bose-Einstein condensate in a double well potential coupled to a continuum via a sink in one of the wells and a source in the other. The effect of the interplay between the particle interaction and the non-Hermiticity on characteristic features of the spectrum is analyzed ...

Hamiltonian chaos in a coupled BEC–optomechanical-cavity system

We present a theoretical study of a hybrid optomechanical system consisting of a Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) trapped inside a single-mode optical cavity with a moving end mirror. The intracavity light field has a dual role: it excites a momentum side mode of the condensate, and acts as a nonlinear spring that couples the vibrating mirror to that collective density excitation. We present the ...

Steady-state mechanical squeezing in a double-cavity optomechanical system

We study the physical properties of double-cavity optomechanical system in which the mechanical resonator interacts with one of the coupled cavities and another cavity is used as an auxiliary cavity. The model can be expected to achieve the strong optomechanical coupling strength and overcome the optomechanical cavity decay, simultaneously. Through the coherent auxiliary cavity interferences, t...

Synchronization in an optomechanical cavity.

We study self-excited oscillations (SEO) in an on-fiber optomechanical cavity. Synchronization is observed when the optical power that is injected into the cavity is periodically modulated. A theoretical analysis based on the Fokker-Planck equation evaluates the expected phase space distribution (PSD) of the self-oscillating mechanical resonator. A tomography technique is employed for extractin...

Exactly Solvable Many-Body Systems and Pseudo-Hermitian Point Interactions

The complex generalization of conventional quantum mechanics has been investigated extensively in recent years. In particular it is shown that the standard formulation of quantum mechanics in terms of Hermitian Hamiltonians is overly restrictive and a consistent physical theory of quantum mechanics can be built on a complex Hamiltonian that is not Hermitian but satisfies the less restrictive an...
